The Doctrine of the Trinity:

A great inconsistency exists in the position of Jesus Christ in His trials here on earth, as noted in the records of Scripture and the necessities of the Trinitarian position.

Of Jesus it is said, by Scripture, that:

"We have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet with out sin" (Heb. iv. 15).

Jesus, therefore, whether He was "the man" or the "real being within," was tempted, but James in his Epistle says:

"Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil" (James i. 13).

Again, therefore, it may be summarised upon the same premises as was pointed out in the chapter, "The Will of the Father, and the Will of the Son," that:

God, whether a Trinity or a Unity, cannot be tempted.

Jesus, the real Being, was tempted in all points like unto His brethren.

Therefore Jesus could not have been God.
